In this blog, I will share with everyone the procedure from the moment we leave Copenhagen, to we landed Singapore, first PCR, our 14 days SHN, Self ART Tests, last PCR test until we check out on the 15th day.
Here is the brief introduction of SHN:
The Stay-Home Notice (SHN) is a legal notice issued under the Infectious Diseases Act that requires travellers to remain in their place of residence or SHN Dedicated Facility for a stipulated period. The failure to comply with any SHN requirement is punishable under Singapore laws and can amount to an imprisonment term and/or fine. Additional penalties such as the cancellation of long-term visit passes could also be taken against errant individuals by the relevant authorities. Travellers arriving from higher-risk countries/regions will be required to serve their Stay Home Notice (SHN) at an SHN Dedicated Facility (SDF). Due to the fast-changing demands for SDFs, travellers will be assigned to an available SDF only upon arrival.
Upon arrival, travellers will commute directly to their assigned SDF using government-arranged transport. During the SHN period, travellers are prohibited from leaving their accommodations. They are only permitted to leave the SDF if they are due to take their PCR at the designated testing facility. As travel via public transport is prohibited, transport will be arranged by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to ferry travellers to and from the designated testing facility.
Travellers should note that basic essentials such as portable water, cleaning supplies as well as daily meals (three times a day based on dietary preference) will be provided by the SDF. Should you require extra food and essentials, you may opt for home delivery services or enlist the help of others. When collecting these items, please refrain from collecting them personally.
The SHN comes into effect immediately on the day of arrival in Singapore and ends after a negative PCR result is conveyed
Travellers who are staying in SDF will be alerted by the SDF concierge on their check out time when they have received confirmation of the PCR test result.😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷
72 hrs prior to flight check in, a PCR test showing "negative" is mandatory. There is a doctor at Kastrup International Airport provide such service at about SGD300 per person. The results will be ready in 4 hours time.
It has been six months since we last see our families' members, for sure, we really look forward to coming home.
We boarded SQ 351 from Copenhagen Kastrup International Airport. Just like when we flown into Copenhagen at the beginning of 2021, the plane was almost empty. There were 2 pilots, 6 cabin crews & 5 travellers. Flying back to Singapore, this round the plane capacity was 14 passengers.

DAY 1
As the plane landed in Singapore Changi International Airport, at the persistence advises from close friends and kin, we had double surgical masks on. Once we exited from the plane, we had our first check with a staff in PPE to double check with our identities, then we are being shown a special barricaded lane to walk all the way out. There are many staff in PPE all over the places.
Once we reached the custom area, again staff checked our identities as well as our flight details.
After customs, we went to the belt to retrieve all our baggage before going out to the public area, also via a special barricaded lane to the PCR test center which is located next to the coach bay. Once done with PCR, we boarded the bus... still not knowing where we are heading. At this point, Boss can no longer hold his curiosity, he went to ask the driver, who told him this bus is heading to JW Marriott Beach Road which sent a relief to our minds.
At JW Marriott Hotel, there are a few staff at the entrance in PPE whose duties is to handle the SHN travellers. The impression of my SHN was good as the very first person we met were these staff in PPE who are helpful and polite. They showed us the way to our waiting seats while waiting to check in and gently tell us it is our turn to check in.
We have 6 bags with us so Boss request for a bigger room, the check in counter obliged to our request and allocated Room 1313 to us. We were being given 6 Antigen self test kits that require us to test on Day 3, 7 and 11 while serving SHN, we are only need to call the front desk if the result is "Positive" - this is easy for us as we been going for Free Antigen Testing in Denmark weekly.
The room is very comfortable and spacious. Boss said, we have a 7-meters shuttle run track from door to window. We have the total space of 42sqm - we are very happy.
Love this Sealy bed which we are using at home too.
4 PLOH pillows are given as well.
I believe our SHN is going to be great.

ICA called boss"s hp to check our location, after verified our identities and location, the caller request us to on our video to show her our surroundings as well as the telephone set of the hotel which bear the name of the hotel.

Had a quick peep outside again, today we have more neighbours now.
Except for us which is a room for 2, the rest are single occupancy, base on the number of meal box laid on the chair.

The Lemon sauce is bitter as the chef over cooked the lemon with the skin. The skin will cause it bitter.

At 2142hrs, we got another reminder text from "HPB" in regards of our Covid-19 tests for next day.
DAY 14
At 0930hrs, we reached the Covid-19 Test venue, and it was such a long queue. This test is the worst I ever received, it really goes deep inside to the wall of my nostril.
After we done the test, new set of keys will be given to us, which means the one we were given upon check in allow us for one time use only. This measure is prevent people from going in and out of their room. We are supposed to remain in the room throughout.

Day 15
Received a text from ICA that we got "Negative" on our Covid-19 test results.
Once we received this text, then we can make arrangement with the hotel on our check out time. We got the slot at 1215hrs.
For travellers serving SHN in an SDF, the SDF will inform the traveller of the check-out time once it receives confirmation of the negative COVID-19 test result from the relevant government agency. Travellers will only be allowed to leave the SDF thereafter.

This is my 3rd time having this, Yam Cake cannot make it, it is too starchy & rubbery & no yam taste at all.
We are checking out at 1215hrs, my dad is picking us up.
Finally we had done on the SHN. See , there is even a certificate given by JW Marriott.
