"YEOGI MASITSEUMIDA"! What did we eat in Busan?

"If You Have Not Dined Well, You Cannot Think Well, Love Well Nor Can Sleep Well".

"YEOGI MASITSEUMNIDA"! Busan - What did we eat?
Korean cuisine has evolved through centuries of social and political changes. Originating from ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions in Korea and southern Manchuria, Korean cuisine reflects a complex interaction of natural environment and different cultural trends.
Different regions of Korea have their specific regional delicacies, and Busan is no different in this regard.
Tasting authentic local food is the number one - to do thing on my list, scroll down and see what we had eaten here in Busan.

Different regions of Korea each have their specific regional delicacies. Busan is no different in that regard.
Popular dishes in Busan range from hearty stews and marinated meats to dishes that are reserved for those with only the most adventurous palettes. If you fall into the latter category, you should add local delicacies such as chicken’s feet, pig’s trotters, and live octopus to your Busan radar.
Tasting authentic Busan delicacies should be high on your list of things to do in Busan. So too, should uncovering off-the-beaten-path eateries that are loved by locals. Let's start the ball rolling of what we had in the near 14 days here...

🫖🧋🍲🥘🍽🍴🍖🍗🍔🍘🍙🍚🍟🍡🍜🍢🍣🍤🍦🍧🍲🍳🍯🍰🍺🍻
Suwol Gyeonghwa
Suwol Gyeonghwa means 水月镜花 in chinese, I felt it is so "poetic". This teahouse is located in Songjeong area, the eastern side of Haeundae Beach.

Located level 4 of the building, we were strongly welcomed by such beautiful and calming entry that the owner spent extra efforts on.

The main color of the interior is wood beige and white which spice up the peace feeling that we received.

We are lucky to have this last table by the window for us, located in the corner.
The view is splendid, right infront of us in the Blueline train track and the blue sea with peoples are wave surfing, there is also a pavilion in a distance.
It will be great if regular cleaning is to be done on the glass windows.
It will be even better if the seats come with backrest as it gets uncomfortable to reach for the table that is the same height as the wooden seat.

Aside from the Black Moon Hoji tea, we also ordered the Dalborde box (traditional cake set).

The presentations of Black Moon Hoji tea is very "ART", the tea were brewed by staff and serve us via decanter vessel and a teacup which both are made from ceramic.
On top of the decanter vessel, it topped some tea leaves - staff highlight this is for us to smell before we sip.

This Dalborde was not only pleasing to the eye, it taste good too, this is the first time we are trying the traditional cakes, and we like it very much.
Dalborde means sweet and soft in old Korean language, this set consists of 1 Financier, 2 Monakas & 2 Rice cakes.

The Gama
Another teahouse that is located in Songjeong area, our Korean Oppa brought us here after a hearty crab dinner.

We were greeted by the cat upon the entry to the teahouse.
And there are actually few kitties here that roam around freely which means the owner and staffs are animals' lovers.

Oppa said this traditional teahouse is well like by local because all tea were brewed with careful efforts.
The teahouse is in "Nojin Hanbok" style that has been passed down for three generations.

The layout of the place is very Zen feel, we came at about 8pm so there is not many people.

The place is also decorated with tea sets some from 3rd BC! It is just like a tea set museum.

My MR ordered the DaHongPao which he always like. We even went to Mt Wuyi in Fujian China before to grace the UNESCO World Heritage of the 300 years old DaHongPao plant from the cliff.
The tea's flavor is a combination of smoky and smooth, research result shows that it has the effect of suppressing insulin levels and reduce body fats.
The cost of per brew is SGD14.

Me & Oppa ordered Gaeseongsan wild tea whose tea leaves were collected during the fall of 2017. The tree is more than 600 years old and grow at the altitude of over 2500m in the DaXue (Snow) mountains of Menggu area in the northwest of Yunnan China. The tree was grown in a blessed natural condition that has endured countless years of cultivation and contains the vitality and nutrients of the original nature therefore it has a superb, fruity, fragrance and savory taste which is sweet and refreshing too.It worthed the price of SGD26 per brew.

FromTea
I was goggling about this place and found out that "TaiPingHouKui" is in the menu which confirmed my decision to visit.

FromTea teahouse is located in Jung-dong area of Haeundae which is one metro stop away from my base. Thanks to Naver map, I managed to get to this place easily by myself. This short walkway is very relaxing as it was drizzling.

Due to communication issues, as the staff doesn't speak English, she mistook I asked for the best tea when I was asking for TPHK, so I was served Taiwan Hualien Black Tea at SGD18 per brew and a tiramisu to go along.

Black tea is generally stronger in flavour than other teas. First originating in China, the beverage's name there is hong cha "red tea") due to the colour of the oxidized leaves when processed appropriately. Today, the drink is widespread throughout East and Southeast Asia, both in consumption and harvesting, including in China, Japan, Korea, and Singapore

Came again on my second visit with him, he ordered Annapura Organic Golden Tip
Golden Tips tea is a premium black tea crafted from the youngest buds of the tea plant, harvested before they even unfurl into leaves. This exclusive selection boasts a distinctive flavor profile, praised for its sweet, honey-like notes, nutty finish, and fruity undertones depending on the season.
Annapura is a mountain standing 8,091m above sea level in Nepal so we were wondering if this tea is collected from this mountain.

And I got what I wanted.... My TaiPingHouKui
TaiPingHouKui(太平猴魁) is ordinally produced in TaiPing perfecture of AnHui since Ming Dynasty and was harvested for emperors during the Qing Dynasty. It has been produced commercially since the start of 20th century and won the "King of Tea" award at China Tea Exhibition in 2004 and is listed as China's famous tea. It is renowned for "two knives and one pole" : two straight leaves clasping the big bud with white hair. After processed, the leaves are deep green in color with red vein in the underneath. The tea shoot can grow up to 15cm.

So how was the taste like?
To me, it tasted like an average green tea in my first sip.
As more sipping goes by, there is no roasted taste but some cooling and clean taste. To put in simple, it has its own unique taste.

Here are some photos of TaiPingHouKui that I got from the web.

Lee Woo-chul Oriental Medicine Nurungji Samgyetang
AKA Korean's Ginseng Chicken Soup to non-locals.

This shop here is different than the usual Samgyetang I had in Seoul and Jeju.
Owned by the winner of Master Chef - the awards are shown below, this restaurant is very popular with locals.

We are here because we were brought here by our Korean Oppa who a fan of this restaurant is. He ordered mung bean, oppa ordered garlic based while mine is brown rice (锅巴).
Piping hot soup served in the traditional claypot, the portion is huge! There is alot of meat and glutinous rice!

Oppa even ordered beer & soju to go with it.

Self-service of kimchi and yummy side dishes with courteous staffs.

Bada Maru Abalone Porridge
Fondly known as "jok" in Korean that sounds similar to Hokkien dialect, jok is my mum's favorite dish when we came to Seoul a few years ago.

The Korean jok is similar to our usual porridge in Singapore where the rice was simmered and stewed with regular stirring for a few hours with good stock base like pork bones, various dried seafood and more.

I cook good porridge too, especially after learning some tips from Korean's jok restaurant many years ago. Korean's porridge grains are all pearl-like with a soft texture while mine is Cantonese style.

Perfect for a raining day.
Traditional jok that has been open for more than 35 years!
Rice was boiled to soft texture that is infused with Abalone taste.
Masitseumida!

Haeundae Giwajib Daegutang 해운대 기와집 대구탕
Busan has the largest fishing base in the whole Korea, so the supply of seafood is almost limitless!
We are here for Cod fish soup, and they only have one item on the menu or - there is actually no menu here.

Customers entered the restaurants and told the staff the number of people in your group then you go get a table. Staff will serve you shortly.

Our experience to this eatery is amazing, it is located hidden down in the slope, steep slope.
The best part is we are the only tourists here so the staff are all cannot speak English.
There are many small residences in the areas, many have a little plot of vegetation farming, sea view and sky capsules are in view too.

Went into the compound and the staff showed us her 2 fingers - reckoning if we are 2 persons, we said yes, and she showed us the dining room.

Wow, it feels like a cabin - long rectangular type which feel like bus or a big metal container with windows and ventilation.

We got a table by the window which comes with the spectacular view of the sea and sky capsules.

Self-service to take the water ourselves, refillable side dishes which are very tasty, and we refilled twice!

Our main dish arrived in big round metal bowls, soup is white in color, meat is also white and topped with green spring onions.

The meat is tight and muscular which is very fresh.

The soup is light, flavorful, tasty and full of freshness.

Ssangdungi (Twins) Dwaeji-gukbap Headstore
Known as pork soup rice here, it is a common local traditional food to the people here.
The dish is a stew that consists of pork and vegetables seasoned with soy sauce, miso, and sesame.
Dwaeji Gukbap gets its unique and special taste as a consequence of the way the dish is made. Pork bones are boiled for many hours until they form a broth.

Glad we come at odd hours so there is no much crowd at all.the soup is really tasteful that it's has been simmered for many hours.

Our dinner here at this traditional pork soup that is run by 3rd generation now. At the time of my arrival, only 2 of us are foreigners. Even my hotel staff warned me that this is very famous and expect long q during meals time.

The meat is soft and flavorful that it melted in my mouth. It was raining and perfect dish for the weather.
My Mr ordered extra share of pork bellies which he like it alot.

Miryang Sundae-dwaeji-gukbap, Haeundae
Another popular one that is located in Haeundae which is 24hrs operations. Due to the prominent location, there is countless number of visitors.

Homemade kimchi is delicious and they are refillable.

The meats are soft and easily chewable, the soup is not bad, and you can enhance further with given ingredients if you have a stronger taste.

Hearth Talk Korean BBQ

Known as 난로회담 in Korean and Nallo Hoedam in Naver map, this Joseon setting restaurant is very popular and reservations are needed as it is always fully booked.

We get our Korean friend to make the booking for us and glad that we made such amazing visit for our first official meal in Busan.

Although we were aware that the restaurant has an ancient setting, but we were still very surprised what we saw upon the entry to the compound.

The garden is beautifully decorated in an old tile-roofed house, so it's great for taking pictures. The food is also delicious. It's a great place with a great atmosphere.

It has a unique feel as it is a meat restaurant with the atmosphere of an old house. It's great for taking pictures... The dining areas are within the rooms of hanok, we saw in those KDramas which mean the bedroom.

Each room is decorated with few tables and chairs for different group size of customers.

Our table is located in one of these room too, right by the window, near to the entrance.

The iron casted grilled plate was sent to is shortly, decorated with kimchi and vegetables.

The lunch was great in such an interesting setting and having the perfect partner in crime.

Ha Dae-seung Damyang Galbi
Here for Durac pork over charcoal fire. It is really very tasty. The wind is very strong and its drizzling outside. It is located within Gwangbok food street in Nampo.

Durac Pork is an American breed of domestic pig which varies in color from gold, brown, and maroon. It is known for its lean muscle, marbling, and rich, slightly sweet taste.

Duroc pork is a premium pork product that offers exceptional flavor, nutritional value, and versatility. Its lean muscle, marbling, and rich taste make it a favorite among chefs and food enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re grilling, roasting, or simply enjoying it in a sandwich, Duroc pork is sure to delight your taste buds.

Duroc pork is generally more expensive than other pork breeds due to its superior quality and limited availability. Duroc pork is a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals, including iron, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids.

Matchandeul Wang Sogeum Gui Haeundae
The usual restaurant my MR will visit whenever he come to Busan, and before our official visit, the place is always full of long queues at door.

Per serving of meat is 130g and there must be minimum 3 orders on the first order, so we ordered the 390g serving of various types of meats, a soybean stew and a bowl of stone pot rice.

Soybean stew is very flavorful and we had 2 bowls each.

The Stone pot rice took 15 minutes to cook, scoop out all rice leaving behind the charred rice that were stuck on the stone pot & pour stock into the stone pot and 10 minutes later, we shall have stone pot porridge!

Staff will grill for us at our table, the most common type of eating the meat is simply dipped in a little salt, we tried, and it is so delicious.
Staff even guide us the different ways to eat the meat like wrapping in the vegetables, with preserved vegetables and etc.

After we finished the first 390g, we ordered another 130g of pork bellies. Feeling so great!

We were so happy with the meal that we return back here for lunch before our flight leaving for Singapore.

Haesongdaege / Haesong Snow Crab / 해송대게
This area is known for snow crabs which originate from Russia.
Our friend - Oppa recommended this place as this shop is recognized by him & his family.
The shop sells only one dish: steamed fresh crabs.

The live crabs are on display is big tanks, there are few types to choose from, these crabs are from Russia.
Oppa choose "Bamboo crabs" as this is the usual one which Koreans will choose.
I remarked that the legs look skinny, probably not much meat but Oppa assured me "a-ni" which means no, the legs are very meaty.

I witnessed the staff netted up 3 crabs and passed over to the "steaming" department which is just located at the door.
The cook turned the crab over, knifed through the body and placed into the steaming rack. I was pretty shock that how swiftly it was done and quicky "said a little prayer" before he closed the steaming lid. I will never want to witness it again.

The restaurant was rather packed with customers and luckily, we did not need to wait for one.

Love the cutleries which was given to each diner: a pair of chopsticks, a long spoon and the tool for digging crab meat which I owned 2 at home.

The meal starts with seaweed soup, pan cake and sashimi - it is included in the meal when we ordered the crab.
Seaweed soup is one of the most common household soups, the taste of seaweed opened up my appetite.

There is salad and chilled squid too.

Pan cake is always one of my favorite dishes, crispy and fragrance - which perfect it with the sauce.

And there is soy bean stew too, wow.. it is actually quite a big set.

Sashimi of various seafood - fresh and good.

Here come our crabs - fresh, sweet, muscled and meaty. Love the way it was thoroughly cut upon served, unlike in Singapore.

This is crab roe fried rice - the roe is green, so the fried rice is also green. This is our first time trying this dish and we like it too. Every grain of rice is colored, what a skillful cook they have.
The price tag for this meal is SGD250.00 for 3 person which you can never get this price for the same meal in Singapore.

Okcheon Sashimi Restaurant
A traditional small seafood restaurant by the sea located at the pier of  Haenyeo (women divers) Village.

Right behind of JungNi, this humble restaurant is very famous here.  We went on a Sunday lunch time it was pretty crowded but glad there is one more table available for us.

These yummy side dishes as starter are always refillable here in Korea.

First time eating abalone sashimi, too chewy for us, a little challenge for our old weak teeth, but we soaked them in the ramen soup to soften it. I think the local will laugh at us seeing how we "destroyed" the abalone sashimi.

Sea Urchin is my favorite too, I will never say "NO" especially it is freshly caught instead of frozen type. The price is much higher in Singapore and usually I will hunt for them in Japan and Korea.
I can literally taste the sea in these sea urchins, our first time eating this via gimbap so it is very special to us.

The signature dish here is this seafood ramen, I ordered because every table ordered one.
No regrets of ordering, the broth is so sweet with a touch of spicy, full of freshness of the seafood and their local soup paste. There is a big squid, few shells and my favorite one whole abalone.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Busan, the young owner speaks a little English, great food and amazing view of the ocean and lighthouse.
We ordered seafood ramen, abalone sashimi and sea urchin gimbap.
The ingredients used are all very fresh and could be caught by women divers this morning!

Side Track : Girls as young as 11 years old will start to receive training and today, the oldest Haenyeo in the world is already in her 80s and has been diving for a living for more than 65 years. This traditional profession dated 434AD in Jeju.

Sumine
Grilled clam restaurants are very common along the coast of Haeundae or even the whole Busan. Sumine is located in Cheongsapo and is facing the twin lighthouse.

The atmosphere within the dining area is nice as it is very spacious and airy.

We were served with seaweed soup and side dishes soon after we got our table.

After we placed our orders of assorted clams and prawns, everything seems to be in a rush.
The staff quickly brought us our raw food, quickly help us to grill and serve us.
Same thing goes to the prawns too.

Seafoods are indeed fresh because we could taste the freshness in them.

Love the sight of the shell which slowly opened up.

Solsot Hotstone Rice bowl
Located opposite of the Haeundae Square, nearer to the university side.
We are going to have stone pot rice for dinner.

He ordered the salmon while I opted for the chicken and prawn tempura to share.

There are steps to complete the meal.
1. Open the lid, stir the rice and scoop out and put on side plate.
2. Pour hot water into the stone bowl & close the lid.
3. Eat rice from side plate.
4. Open The lid, the charred rice is now becoming porridge.
It seems common for 2 steps of eating for stone pot rice.

Songjeong Sushi 송정스시
We happened to pass by this restaurant while walking around Songjeong area.
The sea urchin on the menu was calling for me and we decide to have a light lunch here.

We ordered salmon sashimi and prawn tempura together with my sea urchins.

Japanese restaurants in Korea serve side dishes too.

The prawns are hot and tasted good.

Salmon sashimi was in good orange color, tasted tight and fresh.

Per order or sea urchin at SGD40, which is considered cheap for the serving. The chef even came over our table to teach us the correct way of eating. But he could not speak English, using the international hand signs, we made out what he meant and happily enjoying our food.

Hmmm, we are very surprised to taste such a good Japanese cuisine here in Busan.

Haeundae Traditional Market
A bustling place that is well known for fresh seafood that is full of homemakers making meals at home.

It is also a common place with tourists who are here to have some insights of local's life.
Beside getting raw food from the market, it is also filled with local street food sellers where everyone can have a local taste.
Aside from food, there is some retail shopping for almost everyone's needs like clothing, accessories, pottery, etc.

Here are the photos I took about the market...

Here what we ate in this lively market...

Giseung Braised Pork Legs
We were strolling around the traditional market looking for something different for our dinner and suddenly we were drawn by the bright and colorful signboard.
Braised pork legs are a common food on our dining tables at home so when we see this dish here, we felt excited and decided to give it a try on how the Korean are making this dish.

It is located on the second level, and happy notes from happy diners were pasted on the wall which is near to the entrance.

These notes were left behind by happy diners.

Once we entered, we were encircled in a nostalgic atmosphere. The decoration was very simple, but it is big and airy.
The cook is the lady boss, the runner is her husband, this is a husband-and-wife tag team old school restaurant.

This lady here is the lady boss.

After taking down our orders, we could hear the sound of chopping board that the lady boss was chopping some ingredients for my orders.

The boss serves us some appetizers that including soup and kimchi.
Hmmmm, this taste so different with the usual taste we had.

This homemade soup is peppery type but felt good to our stomach on a wet night.

The texture of the pork is similar because if this pork is well braised, it will be very tender and soft.
So the texture of this restaurant is superb! The taste and spices used in this dish is something we never had before but it is to our liking. Sweet and a dash of spiciness.

This is stirred fried pork, which is non spicy, it is also to our liking. It tasted that soya sauce and garlic.

Hotteok
It is a common street food in South Korea that’s tasty, warm, inexpensive, and comforting. They’re sweet pancakes with sugar syrup inside, and they’re often eaten as snacks in the street.

It originated in China and was first brought into Korea during the 19th century. Throughout centuries of evolution, the fillings of Hotteok have also been evolved, today there are choices of fillings that are nuts, green tea, corn and many more.

I got the honey & nuts fillings one at SGD2.50 each.

Ice-cream
Who will say "NO" to ice cream?
There are few stalls here selling the same products and similar stalls designs.

The usual soft serve - organic milk

Our 2nd ice cream treats after a hearty dinner.

Burned marshmallow filled with vanilla ice cream

Honeycomb vanilla soft serve
OMG, real honeycomb!!

Tee-Tteok-Son
It means soup + fried + blood sausage as per short introduction by the lady boss.
This shop is found in the traditional market that is famous for selling various type of street food.

We ordered fishcake in broth & Tteokbokki - rice cake is hot sauce.

Manbu Stew
Located at the heart of Haeundae Square, it is not hard to miss out this place.
We are here for Budae Jjigae AKA Army Stew.

The weather is cold today and it is good to have some hot stew.
The staff that serve us is a young man from Nepal, glad we have him for translations.

The appetizers are all my favorites that I requested for refills for 3 times!

The food was super reasonably priced and a really big portion for 2 people!
This cost SGD30 which you usually get a much smaller share in Singapore for same price.

Tofu Kimchi Stew
Forgotten which restaurant I dined at as it was raining, and I was hungry.
I only remembered this is located in Jangsan which is also part of Haeundae.

Yoogane Chicken Galbi
Yoogane is a chain restaurant that serves a tasty and spicy stir fried chicken dish.
We came to visit the branch in Hauendae Busan that is located along the Hauendae Square so it is easily to locate.

Once the lift door opened, we were greeted with the bright, airy, spacious and clean premise.

This is our table by the window, nice view.

Mini self-service appetizer bar - take as much as you can, nobody will question you.

This soba soup taste very nice, good for a cooling Autumn.

We ordered the marinated Chicken Galbi which is consists of chicken marinated in a spicy red pepper paste known as gochujang.

Olive Chicken
Another local brand of fast-food restaurant that is similar like KFC, this brand of fried chicken is commonly seen in the background of many KDramas. Well, I think it taste average, I am sure there are better options here and I hope I have the chance to try, if not then next time.

Mom's Touch
A local fast-food chain here that is popular and common to the locals.
The atmosphere here is similar like the usual fast-food restaurants in Singapore.

The food is not bad to me, can visit again next time.

Macdonalds
Trying Korean mac for lunch today.
I ordered mozzarella chicken burger, and he opted for shrimp burger! SGD13 for both.
Consider cheap compared to the usual meal at local eatery which already cost at least SGD10 per person

The following day, we went to the same mac again for breakfast that cost SGD11 for 2 sets.

Horangi Jella Tteok Rice Cake
Heard this rice cake (mochi) is very popular here in Busan that locals and tourists will queue for them.
Since I am nearby (4min walk from the Bada Maru Abalone Porridge) so I decided to pop over to take a look.
There is no queue at all, though people come and go to get the purchase.
I decided to enter and enquire about the product.

Staff at the cashier speaks good English who answered me that once I bought from store, it will come by 2 dry ice that will last 15hrs. If I put in freezer, the mochi can last me 7 days. I decided to come back again few days later when I am about to fly back Singapore.

Per person entitled only to buy 1 box of 6 mochi at KWR25,000 which is near SGD25 - this is minimum and maximum purchase.

2 days before my departure to Singapore, I returned to buy and still there is not much queue.
The mochi are placed in a foamed box, topped with dry ice and place into a cooler bag which looks cute and material is good.

Well, here is our verdict after our consumption: Taste normal on such high price tag.
Glad, I did not spend much time to queue for them. Once is enough.

Grabbed this pretty photo of the rice cake from the goggle.

From the Connivence Stores
There are so many of them to choose from .. 7-11, GS25, Emart and etc.

Here are what we got from here:

Paris Baguette (Cafe Adagio)
Another local name that made it big to Singapore and many countries.
I am here just for a cup of coffee as I am too early as EMART supermarket has not opened yet.
There are many people come and go for takeaway breakfast, except for me sitting comfortably at the mini cafe area.
It is a perfect place to chill and people watching.

Angel-In-Us Cafe
A local chain cafe that is well known and well received by the community.
This outlet we visited is located in Gwangbok area which is in the food street.
My MR is tired from the morning trip to Yeong-do so he need a place to recharge his body batteries.
In fact, I deposited him here while I went shopping in the region.

Cafe Sandy Blue
Though the wind is strong by the sea but the sun is high too!
After strolling from Songjeong area to Cheongsapo area, we found this perfect cafe that is facing the twin lighthouses.

WA Coffee
While waiting for my MR to finish his stuff, I dropped by this small cafe for people gazing.
Located in Jangsan area, next to subway exit, i choose this place to kill some time before going to the BIG Daiso at the next block.
Manned by a handsome oppa, I chose a cold drink before settling down at the seat at the terrace.

Canvas Cafe
This is our very first cafe to visit upon our touch down in Busan.

Located one street away from Best Louis Hamilton hotel, the lady behind the service window is pretty and friendly.

There are no customers here except for us at 930am, we have the place for ourselves.

Small sidewalk cafe that is covered in tentage, cozy and comfortable.

Nice coffee to kickstart our days here is Busan.

Footbath Cafe
Who do not like to be seated comfortably with soft background music while sipping your favorite drink while enjoying the ocean view while having a relaxing footbath?

Nice got foot bath with a drink for 30 mins. Only 15,000 won per person.

Just sitting in front of the sea, drinking a cup of tea and talking with your friend. 100% recommended.

A place with a spectacular view. The staff is super friendly. After walking the streets of Busan or just to relax, it's the best plan.

They don't have food, but they have tea and hot chocolate.

Coming here with someone you love and watching the ocean together would be really great, right?

Starbucks
An American brand that made it BIG throughout the world!
This outlet is really huge, there are many tables and seats.
Love the big window that facing the sea, but it was sad that we are leaving for Singapore in few hours' times.
