For the sake of our new home ... we skipped travelling for almost 2years.. Now we are all well settled down in our new home and it is time to play again.
Personally, I have not been to Japan before though I been seeing and hearing a lot about this place especially from my hubby who frequent this place for work.
Upon landing Haneda airport, the first place I visited was the washroom. It really amazed me so much that I spent quite some time playing inside.

First to visit is Hakone where we were spending 2 nights in a homestay called "Fuji Hakone Guesthouse"
Main building of the guesthouse. the private open onsen is located right behind the bamboo fence. |
This is side wing where some rooms and dining area is located. |
Our tatami beds. Hakone is never complete without seeing her ! |
Exploring Hakone at Tongendai
Due to strong volcanoe gases reported, Owakudani was closed to public.. I really wish we can try the black egg.
We took a 2 hour bus ride from Hakone to Tokyo Shinjuku station and we transfer subway to our hotel name Hotel Grand Palace.
Oedo-Onsen town where everyone dress in yukata.
Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari is a natural onsen (hot spring) theme park in the Odaiba area near Tokyo Bay. Visitors can experience 13 varieties of baths including indoor baths using water from natural hot springs that gush up from the source 1,400 meters under ground. In addition, everyone from children to adults can spend the day strolling about in casual yukata robes through the Hirokoji and Happakuyacho shopping arcades that recreate the vibrant bustle of the Shitamachi (downtown) section of old Edo.
Kawagoe is located about 45 minutes by train from central Tokyo and is a good day trip destination. The street, is lined with clay-walled warehouse-styled buildings, retains an ambience reminiscent of an old town from the Edo times. Aother name for Kawagoe known as "Little Edo".
This is merely a 6 day trip here. We promised each other that the next one will be 14 days at least.
Ended the last night with the Tokyo tower.
Been to several cities around, it seems that Tokyo (Japan) is the best I went. It is decided that in-coming years, we will slowly and gradually spread our footprints throughout.
