Malacca Food Hunting Trip again - 2019 part II

“Travelling in the company of those we love is home in motion.”

Boss decided to drive in to Malacca and BF is very excited for this 3 days and 2 nights road trip. Without my sister pig tagging along this round, photos were much much lesser than usual.

We start our journey at 0515hrs. Glad that the Woodlands checkpoint is smooth and steady.

Breakfast in JB: Restoran Kin Wah
Address: 8, Jalan Trus, Bandar Johor Bahru, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia

BF super requested to have breakfast at this old school coffeeshop. Few of his friends recommended him this place. I am surprised that he wanted to go, this is indeed a nice coffeeshop which I ever visited many years ago. I even backed BF up by telling the rest that this coffeeshop is a no regret place. This place is only 5minute drive from CIQ that's why we enter via Woodlands than Tuas.

Directly opposite of Kin Wah, there is this 100 years old bakery - Hiap Joo Bakery
Address : 13, Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, Bandar Johor Bahru, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.
Currently managed by the 4th generation. This bakery was once belong to an Englishman who handed over to the great grandfather of the current boss. What impressed me about this place is they are still using the traditional wood fire, clay oven! This oven is 100 years old!

We are lucky to be here in the early morning and managed to buy some butter cake and banana cake which are their signatures. Most items will be sold out by noon, must come early.

Update : here are the photos I took on this place a week after this trip.

We stopover at Muar for temple visiting and Tangka for some short shoppings and lunch. Update : here are the photos I took on this place a week after this trip.

天云寺乌髻观音庙
Address: No. 13, Jalan Gambir 8, Taman Cempaka, Kampung Parit Rabu, 84700 Gerisek, Johor, Malaysia.

Lunch at Jia Jia Bak Kut Teh Restaurant (东甲家家肉骨茶)
Address : 38, Jalan Kemajuan, Tangkak, Ledang, Johor, Malaysia.
We agreed that only the trotters and the chicken feet are good. The so called signature Bak Kut Teh is average. The spare ribs are on the hard side.

Everlasting Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. (Tangkak Brown Rice Factory & Bird Nest Factory)
Address: Lot Ptd 16025, Jalan Teknologi 3, Kawasan Perindustrian, Tangkak, Johor, Malaysia.

This is an organic shop. Worth to come. When we arrived, there was 2 coaches full of customers.

We resume our way to Malacca, we are barely 40 minutes away only.

This is our accommodation for the next 2 nights at The Atlantis Residence

Lunch at Klebang Nasi Lemak
Address: Lot 130, Solok Kampung Bahagia, Klebang Besar, Melaka, Kesibang, 75250 Malacca, Malaysia
This place is really "to-die-for". We can skip other dining points but never this!

The weather was hot with haze, most of the time we spent indoor shopping at Aeon before we  went for dinner
WTM at Restaurant Dong Fung 东方茶园
Address:119, Jalan Temenggong, Kampung Banda Kaba, 75000 Melaka, Malaysia

Well, we are still hungry so we went around to packet for our supper.
Char Kway Teow at Kedai Kopi Mei Sin Café
Address: 75100 Malacca, Malaysia
This uncle got 30 years of power. The queue is always long. Start from 8pm - 11pm daily.

Right opposite, there is another coffeeshop where there is a stall selling satay.

Putu Piring Tengkera
Address: 252, Jalan Tengkera, 75250 Melaka
We are so lucky that there is no queue at all!

Breakfast to start of long Sunday : Long Hiang Coffee Shop

Address:99, Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, 75000 Melaka, Malaysia

Time to check out, here are our loots for the past 2 days.

Dear Readers,
Thanks for dropping by, so sorry that I took real less photos this round. We were real tired and the haze was hampering us. I assured you that I will still come back to Malacca again for more food trips. Stay tuned.

Nevertheless, since you are already here, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you the other blogs I had on Malaysia.
